The upcoming return of cult TV show Twin Peaks will feature a number of musicians in the impressive cast, including Eddie Vedder from Pearl Jam and everyone’s favourite corporate sellout, Trent Reznor.
Other musicians include Reznor’s fellow Nine Inch Nails bandmate Robin Finck, Mariqueen Maandig, the wife of Reznor and bandmate in experimental-rock act How To Destroy Angels, singer Sky Ferreira, Chromatics frontwoman Ruth Radelet and original Twin Peaks theme composer Julee Cruise.
The full cast list was released via the Twin Peaks Facebook page ahead of it’s expected debut in early 2017. The limited return has been picked up by Showtime in the U.S and will pick up right where the original 1991 series left off, with all episodes to be written and directed by original creator David Lynch, with many of the original cast to return for the new series..
Madman David Lynch and Trent Reznor have worked together several times in the past, including on the soundtrack to 1997 arthouse film Lost Highway and the Nine Inch Nails clip for their 2013 single Came Back Haunted.
Reznor actually has an impressive soundtrack discography to his name, having worked on everything from the Mark Zuckerberg documentary The Social Network to cyber-punk dafuq-fest Tetsuo: The Bullet Man, The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, and Gone Girl, to name a few.
Keep an eye out for his major acting debut and the return of Twin Peaks in the coming months, but for now you can check out the David Lynch directed clip for Came Back Haunted. Please note it comes with an epilepsy warning so definitely DO NOT watch it if you’re prone to that shit. Cheers.
