Well, it seems that
Paramore We Are The In Crowd are in the midst of a hiatus, with lead vocalist Tay Jardine announcing in an interview with Kerrang that she and other members of the group will be focusing on a newly formed project
The New York based collective have remained largely stagnant for the last year or so, having gone into the studio to record an album and, alas, never returning. However earlier this week, Jardine announced the formation of a new collective that will include a handful of WATIC!’s members; Jardine, bassist Mike Ferri and guitarist Cameron Hurley. Jardine will be the sole vocalist for this new project — ruling out the inclusion of former guitarist/vocalist Jordan Eckes, whilst drummer Rob Chianelli will be bowing out of the currently untitled new group. This news undoubtedly confused their fans, whom were left to ponder what had happened to the group and whether bad blood was to blame.
However, a statement has been posted through the band’s accounts on social media, clarifiying some of the confusion resulting from Jardine’s initial statements in Kerrang, along with an update on the group after a year of no contact. It appears that the group did record their third LP, a follow-up to 2014’s Weird Kids. However, it appears that the remaining members have opted to release the new material under a new moniker, citing that said new material does not fit We Are The In Crowd.

So there ya have it, they’ll probably be back soon. Hopefully the new project has a less annoying name.
