Sydneysiders Stories have seemingly left the “Northlane-lite” jibes in their past, if new single Under Haze is anything to go by. The new track is a noticeable departure from their Metalcore roots, demonstrating a more refined atmospheric, chaotic Post-Hardcore vibe, very similar to genre legends Underoath.
Stories are the latest in the line of UNFD to undergo massive shifts in sound this year. Northlane have shifted towards a more Post-Rock sound, whilst Buried In Verona have followed the Bring Me The Horizon route into Heavy Rock. It seems that the labelheads are most certainly not afraid to let their charges shake things up to avoid the inevitable sterility that comes with sticking to one sound.
Stories’ new album The Youth To Become is avaible for pre-order now.

Chris Giacca just may be the worst writer in the world, but it doesn't matter because he probably still has a bigger audience than you, so he is by default automatically right about everything. No exceptions. He's currently writing a novel which will be uploaded in single chapter installments as spoken word on bandcamp. Physical releases will be on laser disc only, limited to 17 1/2 units. Don't ask about the half.
