SPLENDOUR IN THE GRASS, the same tightcunt festival which (allegedly) attempted to employ a slave three days per week, has gone ahead and announced the day they will be dropping their lineup.
In what is presumably an attempt to Russell the Crowes of our very own Dongslurper, the festival announced they would be holding the announcement on Wednesday April 13th (HURR HURR WEDNESDAY 13 CONFIRMED HURR HURR).
Splendour came under fire late last year for offering an internship which was believed to be in contravention of the Fair Work Act.
In the job advertisement for the role, Splendour stated they required an unpaid “marketing intern” three days per week for six months, who would required to “live in or relocate” to the Byron Bay area, and was open to the general public as opposed to just students.
So hey, if you’ll cowards actually give a fuck about supporting a festival so tight it allegedly attempted to circumvent employment law and rip-off ambitious folks by paying them in exposure, you’re welcome to next Wednesday’s announcement.
I Probably Hate Your Band is a shitty website full of asshole writers. We do nothing but destroy the hopes and dreams of young bands, and have never offered a single positive thing to the world. /Sarcasm
