Aside from nearly causing all GOP candidates and the entire crew of Fox News to simultaneously explode with climate-change fueled enragement, Pope Francis has dropped another bombshell to the masses on his most recent tour of the U.S — the Pope is releasing a prog rock album.
’Wake Up!’ is a collection of eleven tracks which sets some of Frankie’s hymns and assorted speeches to some tasty prog jams. Reminiscent of the glory days of the genre, the first track ’Wake Up! Go! Go Forward’ shows a sound similar to that of prog-dads Genesis, of which the Jesuit anti-capitalist is no doubt a fan.
The album has been created with the help of papal artistic director Don Giulio Neroni and Italian musician Tony Pagliuca, who played keyboards in 70’s prog band, Le Orme. You can listen to the first track of the what is to be the hottest mixtape to be dropped by an OD (original disciple) this year below.
