Florida experimental metalcore band I SET MY FRIENDS ON FIRE have announced an Australian tour beginning in May.
The patchy-facial-haired crunklords will be supported by Brisbane rockers Awaken I Am and hometown bros Bayharbour, and will be playing nine dates from Adelaide through to Brisbane.
I Set My Friends On Fire shot to fame in 2008 with the release of their love-or-hate debut album You Can’t Spell Slaughter Without Laughter, followed up with the violently abysmal 2011 album Astral Rejection, with their third album Caterpillar Sex due for release next month.
The band have released a few singles from the forthcoming album, which ISMFOF stated will be ‘nothing like the first two albums’, although it’s unclear if that means it will actually be good as opposed to Astral Rejection, which I feel it’s necessary to reiterate how much of a horrid, stinking pile of absolute trash it was, and they should be ashamed of themselves.
Founding member Nabil Moo skipped out on the band back in 2010, leaving frontman Matt Mehana to hold the fort, who has now recruited four additional members to complete the lineup.
Tickets go on sale February 25, and go ahead and check out some classic ISMFOF below while you wait.
