DOWN Dropped From Festival Lineup Due To ‘White Power’ Incident
The ugly fallout from the Phil Anselmo ‘white power’ incident continues to plague the melon-headed singer, with DOWN being removed from the lineup of the upcoming FortaRock festival in Holland.

Organisers of the festival released an official statement, explaining that “there’s no room for racism and fascism” at FortaRock.

”After the recent outbursts by singer Phil Anselmo during the Dimebash event in the U.S., his band DOWN is no longer welcome at FortaRock. Anselmo ended the show in the U.S. with a Nazi salute and shouted ‘white power.’ There has been close consultation between all parties recent days, since we wanted to make a well informed decision. On that basis, the decision is made to cancel the act. We want to make clear that there is no room for racism or fascism on FortaRock.”
Several musicians have come out to take aim at Anselmo, including violently-unlikeable Machine Head frontman Robb Flynn, who released an 11 minute video in which he blasts the singer for his behaviour and displays his overwhelming sense of narcissism.
