Nirvana’s ‘Nevermind’ Baby Comes Under Scrutiny For Failing To Reveal Penis For Album Cover Recreation

The album artwork for Nirvana’s Nevermind has been recreated to mark the 25th anniversary of its release, with original photographer John Chapple and original baby Spencer Eden teaming up once again after more than a quarter of a century However, Eden — who appears to no longer be a baby — has come under scrutiny for allegedly not paying homage to the original image by failing to reveal his penis. ”Frankly, it’s an insult to their legacy” said Nirvana historian Sarah-Belle Palsy. “The failure of Eden to not authentically recreate the image by showing his penis shows how little he really cares about keeping the spirit of Nirvana alive”. ”Obviously, I’m not trying to say that perhaps he still has a tiny baby penis and that’s why he’s reluctant to reveal it — although, I can’t definitively say that he doesn’t have a little baby penis, either.” continued Palsy. However, it’s now been revealed through reports by The New York Post that Eden did want to do it naked, but photographer John Chapple said he thought it would be “weird”. ”I said to the photographer, ‘Let’s do it naked.’ But he said that would be weird, so I wore my swim shorts.” said Eden. Chapple has since copped serious backlash from fans across the globe, with many accusing the photographer of having a preference for baby penis, but here at IPHYB we refuse to propagate outlandish theories such as that. BRING ME THE HORIZON Announce Rescheduled Australian Tour Dates

Bring Me The Horizon have announced the rescheduled dates for their Adelaide and Melbourne shows, cancelled earlier this month due to frontman Oli Sykes falling ill. The lads have wasted no time at all in organising a trip back, and will be returning in February 2017 and booked to play the same venues as originally planned. It looks like those who were keen to see Architects may be a little disappointed however, with no word yet as to whether they’ll be returning with Bring Me The Horizon for the rescheduled dates. Architects have since advised that they’ll be returning in 2017 for their own headlining tour, so there’s still hope. Ticket Holders for the Melbourne shows will receive new tickets from the 14th of November onwards, with patrons having the new tickets emailed and mailed to the address listed against your profile on the Ticketek website. Adelaide ticket holders will be contacted by Ticketek today and will be offered the opportunity to purchase tickets for the show via a presale also beginning today. Researchers Restore First Ever Recording Of Computer-Generated Music

Researchers Restore First Ever Recording Of Computer-Generated Music

Kiwi researchers have digitally restored the first ever recording of computer-generated music, created by pioneering computer scientist and Nazi-defeating genius Alan Turing. Turing created the recording in 1951 on an aural artefact, a giant machine built and designed by the absolute madman which many regard as the predecessor to the electronic keyboard and modern synthesizers. Researchers at the University Of Canterbury in Christchurch have labelled Turing as a musical innovator, stating “Alan Turing’s pioneering work in the late 1940’s on transforming the computer into a musical instrument has been largely overlooked”, but as if anyone really needed any more proof that the man is one of the great badasses of the 20th century. Alan Turing is probably best known as the central force in cracking the Enigma Code in WWII, integral in defeating the Nazi shitlords, (and literally Hitler — the real-life Hitler, not Donald Trump, or the guy who forgot to put the extra shot in your latte) and was portrayed by Blenderdick Custardlunch in the 2014 film, The Imitation Game. The aural artifact was fucking gigantic as you would expect for 1950’s computer hardware — taking up an entire ground floor of Turing’s lab — and generated three melodies; God Save The King, the Glenn Miller song In The Mood, and the classic nursery rhyme Baa Baa Black Sheep. The recording was previously unable to be salvaged due to heavy distortion, but composer Jason Long and UC professor Jack Copeland utilized specialized filtering techniques to restore the audio. ”The frequencies in the recording were not accurate. The recording gave at best only a rough impression of how...
Song Review: Attila – “Ignite”

Song Review: Attila – “Ignite”

Band: Attila Song: Ignite Genre: Metalcore Date of Release: September 24, 2016 Location: Atlanta, Georgia For Fans Of: Vaping Oh, boy. Attila are back. I won’t bore you with their history — it’s likely you’ve heard of them by now and are familiar with their particular brand of cringe. So let’s get straight into it. Fronzilla opens with “It’s about that time / this the year we take shit off the internet / and take it to the streets, motherfucker”, and I’m immediately sceptical. He’s obviously talking about internet beef (unless his next project is going to be some avant-garde real-life meme performance art), and I I can’t help but be a little dubious of a bloke who wears singlets brandishing the slogan “SUCK MY FUCK” and posts bed-selfies on the reg. If Fronz did actually try to take anything to “the streets”, his dick would be violently punched off within 30 seconds for his $10,000 watch, or perhaps more likely, someone will take his invitation to suck his fuck too literally and he would perish in a bizarre sexual encounter with a group of randy Australian tourists. In the chorus he whines “Don’t give a damn what people say / Save it for another day / You gonna talk the talk then walk this way / Or save it for another day.” Basically, he’s challenging shit-talkers to take their internet grievances directly to the band themselves, to “the streets”, while simultaneously making it very clear that he doesn’t care what you think. In practice, feel free to talk smack on Atilla all you want, just make sure to...

Ex-AS I LAY DYING Singer Tim Lambesis Seeks $35 Million For His Presumably Luscious Breasts

Former As I Lay Dying frontman Tim Lambesis can’t seem to catch a break. In 2014, the singer was sentenced to six years in prison after he was found guilty of attempting to hire a hitman to murder his estranged wife. Not one to let a pesky prison sentence get him down, Lambesis took to the official As I Lay Dying Facebook page in June this year to wish everyone a Happy Father’s Day, including the jaunty hashtag #missingthem, addressed to his kids. A little strange when you consider Lambesis tried to knock off the Mother to his children, but hey, I guess we all express grief in different ways. Unfortunately for Lambesis, the bad luck just keeps on coming. Reports from Loudwire this morning detail that the singer has now filed a $35 million lawsuit against a Californian medical team who were tasked with administering medication to Lambesis when he was first incarcerated. Lambesis alleges the team withheld medication required for anabolic steroid withdrawal, leading to exactly what you don’t want when you’re in prison — a set of luscious breasts. Yes, you read correctly. Lambesis is filing a $35 million lawsuit for medical negligence, claiming he has since developed gynecomastia (enlarged breasts) as a result of not having access to the medication. According to legal documentation obtained by the singer’s legal team, “a nurse, doctor, and psychiatrist at the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department’s Vista Detention Facility and George F. Bailey Detention Facility acted with deliberate indifference to his serious medical needs in May and June 2014 by denying him medication which had been prescribed to Lambesis...
