Song Review: Half Hearted Hero – “Periphery”

Song review: “Periphery”
Band: Half Hearted Hero
Location: New Bedford, MA, USA
Date of Release: 20/04/2011
Genre: Rock, Pop-Punk
Reviewer: Thrillhouse

(This is gonna be a short review as I’m at work and have to sneak off to the toilets to write this, and my co-workers already think I’m a creep, I don’t need them thinking I’m a compulsive masturbator on top of that. Knowing. I mean knowing I’m a compulsive masturbator. I’m masturbating right now).

That’s what this is.
I know you guys list your genre as ‘rock’.
But it’s not. It’s sooooo much better than just ‘rock’.

If you’re fan of pop-punk, but you’re sick of every band using the same fucking four powerchords blink-182 already did like 20 years ago, this band is for you!
Definitely some awesome shit going on here. Sounds like The Fall of Troy if they fangirled over pizza (seriously, what the fuck is with pop-punk bands doing that? Get your shit together you fucking sheep) and happiness, and didn’t scream.

Awesome guitar-work, rad drumming, amazing vocals, and bass fo’ dayz.
Seriously, go give this shit a listen and see what I’m talking about. You will more than likely like it.
